Jan credits his success to not only his sense of commitment, but also his good humor, positive attitude, and his wife’s support. He serves on the Notre Dame Catholic Church School Board (President 2013-2014), has been an active member of the DePaul Real Estate Alumni Alliance Board, and volunteers in various capacities for the Village of Clarendon Hills. He also participates in the Cameron Can Foundation and Mend a Heart Foundation, two organizations thatare exceptionally meaningful to Jan.

“I’m motivated by any opportunity to help others,” Jan says. “Once I experienced the intrinsic value of volunteering, I was hooked. Now it’s hard not to get carried away when helping an organization. It’s so rewarding.”

With a B.S. in engineering from the University of Illinois, Jan began his career as a real estate consultant assisting clients with their commercial and residential projects. Upon completion of his MBA in Real Estate from DePaul, Jan worked in the commercial real estate sector, utilizing his understanding of real estate finance to recommend investment opportunities to investors.

In 2007, Jan formed his own real estate brokerage firm, and while he thrived on the complex challenges of development and commercial real estate, he longed to make a greater impact in his community and to develop personal connections with his clients. As a result, he made the transition to residential real estate in the villages surrounding the BNSF Metra Rail line, bringing with him the experience and skills that set him apart from his peers.
